6.8.5. Initiative Ministry
In Partnership with Pambazuka Ministires Uganda

Come join us on a mission trip!
The founders of the 6.8.5. Initiative, John and Kim Silverberg, have been leading mission trips to Uganda since 2010. They have even lived in Uganda for a while when they adopted two abandoned baby boys in 2019. John and Kim, along with their two sons, take groups two to three times a year to Jinja, Uganda to serve alonside the Pambazuka Ministries staff as they care for the teen mothers, their babies, the elderly widows, school children, and other vulnerable people
in four different villages.
If you are ever interested in joining them on a team, please reach out to Kim Silverberg at 685initiative@gmail.com.
The teams usually visit Uganda in January, March-April and September-October each year.
The January 2027 trip dates are January 12th to 25th.
The March 2027 trip dates are March 20th to 31st.
